Eisvogel rose
Eisvogel – a hybrid tea rose from Rosen Tantau’s “Nostalgie®” collection, has densely petalled flowers in lilac shades, a warm copper-orange center, and a rich exotic floral fragrance. The strength of the aroma increases with the years. This modern variety from German breeders features flowers with a nostalgic, old-fashioned form, initially cupped and then quartered rosette-shaped. When cutting the “Eisvogel” flowers for a vase, you bring the charm of old-fashioned roses into your home. The flowers hold well. The “Eisvogel ®” bush is upright, rounded, and of medium size, reaching about 1 meter in height. Flowering occurs throughout the height of the bush. The foliage is glossy, green, and of medium size. The highlight of this rose is the iridescent color of the wavy petals, a combination of cool and warm tones, resembling the plumage of a kingfisher. The color variations are especially noticeable in roses planted in light partial shade. Much depends on the climate as well.
